PreRegistration Course

This three year course prepares you to work in the demanding and rewarding Physiotherapy space, or, in bio-mechanical engineering, if you’re an engineer. You join the incredibly diverse professionals who promote health and well-being. Your interests and skills may lead to a public, open & fast paced health facility or a quieter clinical or corporate setting. This course will qualify you as a clinician and health care professional -ready for relevant board exams anywhere in the world.

Physical therapy is a branch of physical medicine. Physical therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education.

There is a worldwide shortage of physical therapists in developing countries. According to some measurements and predictive estimates, a massive shortfall. Thousands of PTs will be needed in coming years.

Physiotherapy is soaring in demand. One may reasonably expect to begin or supercharge a prestigious, active career in after PT training- almost anywhere in the world.

ACCREDITATION

ORT Universidad Our course was developed to be accepted by German Ministry of Health as preregistration physical therapy -adaptable to Board Exams abroad.

Course partners

Our Candelabra-Consulting Partnership enables German language training during the course, if desired, also, diploma recognition services and job placement in Germany.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are a general guide. The cost of the course per applicant is $2500 per semester. There are six semesters in total. Merit scholarships are available with high grades.

Preregistration Diploma

Full international Baccalaureate equivalent with strong scientific and mathematical content.

The course is delivered via a variety of problem-based tutorials, subject- specialist resource sessions, skills workshops, and simulations. Plus clinical skills training.

Dr. Azka Khan DPT

Program Coordinator

Dr. Khan brings to the department her extensive experience in both Orthopedic and Neurological clinical rehabilitation as well as research. Her research interests are connected to soft tissue injury and rehabilitation.
Dr. Khan has an enthusiastic lecturing style with a talent for explaining both scientific and clinical aspects of Physical Therapy. Dr. Khan has designed the course so that each semester focuses on a distinct region of the human body with the individual units relating to specific clinical areas.This enables students to quickly grasp important scientific and clinical concepts and help them integrate these into clinical work.  
Dr. Khan has had a leading role in designing the course to make it both comprehensive and relevant to clinical practice. She is confident that students will enjoy the ORT University course and find the Physiotherapy profession as rewarding and welcoming as she has found it.

Dr. Narmeen Anjum DPT, MSPT-OMPT

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Narmeen originally qualified with a Masters degree in Physical therapy before obtaining her DPT together with Orthopedic Clinical Speciality training. Her clinic experience includes Orthopedics, Manual therapy, Womens Health as well as roles within Neurological rehabilitation. Her research interest is in advanced manual therapy techniques related to soft tissue injury and rehabilitation.
Dr. Narmeen has an enjoyable and motivating teaching style and will guide students as they learn human osteology (bones), myology (muscles) and arthrology (ligaments and joints). In addition, Dr. Narmeen, will accompany students as they progress from basic to advanced assessment and treatment techniques. Dr. Narmeen will ensure that ORT students gain an in-depth grasp of the important scientific and clinical concepts needed to practice Physiotherapy.
Dr. Narmeen is confident that the ORT will train the next generation of highly competent and motivated clinicians to enter the exciting and rewarding Physiotherapy profession.
